What We Do
Stawisha Dada works to create practical opportunities for women and girls through skills, enterprise and community support.
Skills & Learning
The strongest current area of work is practical skills training. Stawisha Dada supports women and girls in learning skills such as tailoring and embroidery, with room to introduce other useful practical skills as resources and opportunities become available.
The organisation believes practical learning is most valuable when people can apply it in real life and work towards greater confidence and independence.
Enterprise & Opportunities
Practical skills become more useful when people can connect them with production, markets and enterprise activities. Stawisha Dada works to support opportunities around product development, market access, business knowledge, equipment, small enterprise and partnerships.
The aim is to help skills become practical livelihoods and opportunities for growth.
Women, Girls & Community
Stawisha Dada focuses on creating opportunities for women and girls while supporting useful community activity. This may include participation, inclusion, practical support, welfare activities and community initiatives that strengthen families and the wider community.
The organisation works in a way that respects people’s dignity and responds to practical needs where it can realistically do so.
